Analysis and Fusion
The Analysis and Fusion section focuses on four core competencies: link analysis, document exploitation, commodity/financial transaction analysis and drug-trafficker case construction. Within this mission area, analysts create graphs, charts and maps, conduct toll and financial transaction analysis and develop case information of suspected drug-trafficking individuals and organizations. They also assist in the development and maintenance of operational criminal intelligence databases that allow for the preparation of reports necessary for successful prosecutorial purposes. As a comprehensive threat detection tool, the Analysis & Fusion Section supports a collaborative information sharing process that focuses on forming a domestic common operating picture of counterdrug and transnational threats against the U.S. homeland. This is accomplished by providing highly trained National Guard CD criminal analysts to serve as a proponent for integrating information sharing by using all assets available to detect, deter, and defeat illegal drug and transnational threats against the United States.
